Contrary to popular opinion, I believe that Assassin’s Creed IV is a better game than GTA V. Here’s why
Back in September, Grand Theft Auto V launched to pretty much worldwide acclaim. It grabbed headlines for its high sales in record times and had support lavished upon it from every gaming publication imaginable. It still stands as one the highest reviewed games of all time (averaging 97% on Metacritic is not an easy thing to do). By contrast, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag had a more modest launch and more mixed reviews. Though the response was generally quite positive, it never received the unanimous praise of GTA V.
So when someone comes along and suggests that Assassin’s Creed IV is not only underrated, but is a better game than GTA V, it will raise some eyebrows. This isn’t rampant fanboyism or a desire to be controversial (well, maybe a bit), just one writer’s opinion that there’s more fun to be had with pirates than with bored criminals and psychopaths.
