It’s been a tough ride for Capone The Movie starring Tom Hardy, it was originally shot back in mid-2018 and it has been unclear whether or not the film, previously known as Fonzo, would ever get to see the big screen, especially since the Coronavirus pandemic successfully shut down pretty much every movie theatre in the universe.

Now, this May, it’s looking like we are finally going to get to see this ultimate Tom Hardy makeover – Capone.

The first trailer for Capone has finally dropped, giving us our very first look at the Josh Trank-directed biopic about the infamous crime boss Al Capone. The movie also stars Linda Cardellini as Mae Capone, and Kyle MacLachlan as Karlack.

Capone (which was originally titled Fonzo) will relive the final years of the crime bosses life, which has been riddled with boundless mythmaking since his death back in January 1947.

Tom Hardy looks pretty rough, if not terrifying in the role, pop-eyed and suspicious, somehow looking like he has personally taken on every year of Capone’s prison sentence himself.

Capone will be released via video on demand on the 12th May 2021.
