Look Around You
“These ants have been trained to design and build an igloo using tiny blocks of ice. After the igloo is complete, the ants take a well deserved rest. We’ll come back to the ants later. In the meantime, thanks ants. Thants.”
Running for just two short and wildly different series, Look Around You began as a satire of school educational videos before morphing into a Tomorrow’s World with teeth. The work of comedians Peter Serafinowicz and Robert Popper, Look Around You was compelling in its quietly bizarre assertions in season one and its playful parody in season two. Mark Heap’s turn as best named character in comedy Leonard Hatred is worth the cost of admission alone.
