Darren Aronofsky’s Noah opened last week and it has atheists and fundamentalists up in arms, skirting the line as it does between both creationism and evolutionary theory. It makes one wonder if these opponents couldn’t find at least something to enjoy in the film, but then again…

Can we still enjoy a film, even if we disagree with its message? Here are ten films that, while entertaining, still manage to rub us up the wrong way.


10. Battlefield Earth

This hot mess is based on a novel by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard and contains many of his insane theories and beliefs about the human race. Why is this even on the list, you might ask? Well, some people think this is one of those films that’s ‘so bad it’s good.’ But really, it’s just horseshit. Much like Scientology really.
