Watch the first trailer for Spielberg’s adaptation of The BFG

Well this is exciting. Prepare to return to your childhood next summer with the release of Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic The BFG.

In case you’ve never read it (!) the 1982 children’s book is about a young orphan plucked from her home by a BFG – a Big Friendly Giant. Mark Rylance – best known previously for his stellar stage work and now making the move into film on a more regular basis – plays the BFG, while other members of the cast include Bill Hader, Rebecca Hall, and Jemaine Clement. 

The movie is expected to be released July 1st 2016, and you can watch the very promising first trailer below:
